Allegheny now offers a series of rugged, high-capacity hard drive shredders to meet the growing need for destruction of computer hard drives, optical media, and other electronic devices (cell phones, handheld devices, laptop computers, etc.). Shredding is the most effective and desirable solution for unwanted data storage items, offering maximum protection and eliminating any possibility of reconstruction or retrieval. Allegheny Hard Drive Shredders offer reliable, cost-effective destruction of obsolete electronic storage devices that pose a threat to data security and tax our landfills.

Allegheny offers two separate horsepower models, a 7-1/2 Hp and a 20 Hp model. The 7-1/2 Hp model comes with either an 8" or 12" cutting assembly and can accept most standard-size hard drives (25-35 per minute). The 12" version will also accept most laptop computers (without batteries).

Our heavy-duty 20 Hp model, with twice the torque of the standard model, is designed for high volume applications. This model is available with a 12" cutting assembly and will accept the majority of hard drives (35-45 per minute) and electronic storage
devices. It can also accept laptop computers (without batteries). Both hard drive shredders operate with virtually no noise or vibration.

Our hard drive shredders are ideal for e-scrap recyclers, data centers, and contract shredding services that need to destroy sensitive electronic information.
